PHY305: Experimental Modern Physics

Course Description
This course will involve the student in several areas of experimental modern
physics, and will introduce state-of-the-art methods of data acquisition
and analysis. While performing experiments in such areas as condensed-matter-physics,
modern optics and nuclear physics, the student will maintain a detailed
laboratory notebook. The student will also write formal lab reports for
some of the experiments carried out in the course. Six hours of laboratory
and one hour of lecture weekly.
